Keep in mind that the more numbers covered, the lower the payout and the higher your odds of winning. The bets that are considered as outside bets are:

Outside BetsOutside bets are those bets that Roulette cover groups of numbers and are often times considered “safe” bets. Why are they safe? Because they cover more ground and increase up your odds of winning.

3: Three Number Bet

You are getting the hang of it, but remember that this is best when you start building up your bankroll. (11:1)

12: Twelve Number Bet

Typically a column bet, or can be the Dozens bet. (2:1)

5: Six Number Bet (line)

Six of one, a half a dozen of another. No matter how you slice it, six are better than one, at least when it comes to increasing Roulette your odds of winning. (5:1)

2: Two Number Bet (split)

Take your favorite number or your intuition number, and place a single bet that covers that number and the adjacent number. Then hope one of them hits. (17:1)

18: Eighteen Number Bet

All one color bet black/red, odds/even, or high/low number bets. (1:1)

4: Four Number Bet

Increasing your odds decreases the payout, which only stands to reason. (8:1)

1: Individual numbers (straight up)

Say you have a feeling the next number rolled is 23, so you place a bet on 23. Maybe your favorite number is your birthday and you choose that number. If it hits, you win. (35:1)
